VFC52 (http://www.seekic.com/icdata/VFC52.html)is hybird microcircuits wich can be connected as voltage-to-frenquency or frequency-to-voltage converters. They provide a aimple, low coat method of converting analog aignals into an equivalent digital form. The digital output is an open collector which can be made compatible with DTL,TTL, or CMOS logic. The output is a train of constant-ampitude , constant-width pulses whose repetition rate is proportional to the amplitude of the analog input voltage. In the frenquency-to-voltage mode the pulses become the input and the proportional DC voltage , the output. It is offered in epoxy(-25 to +85) and hermetic metal(-25 to +85 and -55 to +125 ) 14-pin DIP packages.
It has six unique features which is as follows : The first one is V/F or F/V conversion. The second one is two frequency range which is 10 KHz. The third one is low nomlinearity which is ±0.01% max.The forth one is minimal external components required (add only one external resistor for V/F operation). The fifth one is 0 decade dynamic range. The sixth one is output OTL/TTL/CMOS compatible.
