I dont know what kind of swing D Ramirez uses, but its obvious he uses some kind of swing in his tracks.
Its allways good to use swing in some elements to give more groove and rythm to the track, giving it that live feeling. Just dont forget that to have swing you need to have other elements with no swing at all and stick just to one type of swing or else everything will sound out of time instead of swinggy(does that word exist??). Guru has a lot of grooves patterns and knowing that Ramirez uses it u should try some of them. But i really like Logicīs 16th C swing.
Draw some midi notes on your drums and then just try out diferent type of swings/grooves and find out wich one fits better for you and your track

I've never used logic but I hear a lot about its 16b and 16c swing. I downloaded a whole load of groove files including logic ones and they're labeled as
logic swing 8..
logic swing 16 50
logic swing 16 55
etc
Don't suppose you know which amount of swing 'b' and 'c' refer to?

I remember reading that if you want 16c on ableton. its 38% quantize. Nice and groovy baby. If you don't like that then mess with the different swing settings if you have live 8.

Guru swings are so nice on hats and toms, I love the technical shuffle or whatever the first one is called.

I like to use logics 16b lately, gurus ntv swing is a trip too. A good tip is to either play something in and don't quantize at all OR select the parts and use logics delay shifter above each channel strip to either pull or push sounds by milliseconds.
Does anyone here using logic have the problem with quantize templates?
For me, I have all these mpc, emu etc templates but in the drop down list there is the big long list of blank spaces where the quantizes should be.
The logic ones are still there, it's just my imported ones that are blank.

i would say its the NTV swing set to 50% seen 3 or 4 producers go for that swing setting on the future music dvds

Swing - one of my favourite things! -)
I use a lot of different swing grooves and over the years i've even created my own by moving midi notes around the grid and saving as a groove in Logic. I got a bunch of MPC swing grooves for Guru from somewhere (i'll try and remember) which you can import into logic which are really nice as well.
A good start are the Logic swings - start at 16b and you can go to the parameter box open up the extra parameters and gradually increase the swing from 51% right the way up to 100% if you so wish. 16C is indeed a good swing to work with but it's only a start point, it really depends on how swung you want your track.
Create a 16th hihat pattern and try the swings out until you find one you like. Guru is good as it has a swing amount knob so start there with the swing groove and play around. Once you have a midi pattern you can extract the groove and use it in the quantize list in Logic (refer to the instructions on how to do this)
I could talk about this forever but i am currently in Vegas and the Casino is calling -)
